A gem mint state example of the 2000-P Canada Ten Cents — certified and graded Mint State 66 by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), cert 163642.66/10890217. The P mintmark — appearing below the portrait on the obverse — was used by the Royal Canadian Mint exclusively in 2000 as a transitional identifier, making the 2000-P a one-year-only type actively collected by specialists in modern Canadian coinage. The P-marked coins are significantly scarcer than the unmarked 2000 issues and command a strong premium in high grades. At MS 66, this coin displays exceptional strike and lustre with only minimal imperfections.

The obverse features the right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA, with the P mintmark below the portrait. The reverse displays the iconic Bluenose schooner under full sail, inscribed CANADA / 10 CENTS / 2000, designed by Emanuel Hahn. Struck in nickel at the Royal Canadian Mint, Ottawa.
