Elizabeth II and Voyageur designs

The obverse features a crowned portrait of Elizabeth II facing right, surrounded by royal lettering. The reverse depicts two paddlers in a canoe carrying bundled cargo, with an island, trees and vertical rays behind them. CANADA appears above, with 1965 and DOLLAR below.

Prooflike finish and condition

The photographs show strongly reflective fields and bright highlights on the raised designs. The ICCS PL65 assessment identifies a Prooflike coin; this listing does not substitute a Proof designation or add a Cameo designation not present on the label. The holder's SB P5 notation is preserved exactly.

Fine lines and scattered marks are visible in the images. Please inspect the obverse, reverse and label photographs closely for this example's individual surfaces and appearance. Reflections, scratches and marks on the plastic packaging may also affect the images. Standard specifications above describe the issue and are not independent measurements of the encapsulated coin.

Collecting appeal

A certified Prooflike example for an Elizabeth II silver-dollar collection, a Voyageur dollar set or a collection organized by the holder-designated varieties of 1965.

Housed in the pictured ICCS sealed holder. Tampering with the holder invalidates the certification opinion. Have the holder replaced if the inner package or seal is not intact.
