Design and reverse

The front places ALBERTA above the prominent individual number, with CHAUFFEUR and 1949 below. The reverse photograph shows a vertical pin, catch and circular mounting area. Lettering is visible across the mounting area but is not attributed to a maker in this listing.

Condition disclosure

The photographs show scratches, surface wear, scattered marks and patches of discolouration on both sides. Some recessed lettering and numerals have reddish colouration. The reverse has conspicuous grey attachment material around the circular mounting area and uneven surface colour. No conclusion is made about previous repairs or replacement of the attachment.

The pin and catch are present in the photograph, with the pointed end projecting below the badge; their operation has not been tested for this listing. Please inspect both photographs closely for the precise condition and reverse construction. The gold-coloured surface describes appearance, not gold content. No specific alloy, maker, rarity or ownership history is asserted.

Collecting appeal

A dated example for collections of Alberta chauffeur badges, transportation memorabilia, provincial history or numbered occupational badges.
