A heavily circulated example of the 1937 Bank of Canada Two Dollar note, certified and graded Very Good 10 by Banknote Certification Service (BCS) with the coveted BCS Guarantee. Catalogue reference BC-22b, bearing the signatures of D. Gordon (Deputy Governor) and G.F. Towers (Governor), prefix X/B, serial number X/B6301026. No additional comments noted by BCS.

Dated Ottawa, 2nd January, 1937, the obverse features a portrait of King George VI in military uniform at centre, flanked by red serial numbers on a distinctive orange-brown ground, printed by the British American Bank Note Company, Limited. The reverse displays an allegorical seated female figure representing the harvest in rich brown tones. The Gordon-Towers signature combination is a mid-series pairing of the popular 1937 two dollar series, making this an affordable entry point for collectors of Canadian paper money.
