A circulated example of Canada's last Dominion fractional currency issue, this 1923 Dominion of Canada Twenty-Five Cent note has been certified and graded Fine 15 by Banknote Certification Service (BCS). Catalogue reference DC-24d, bearing the signatures of C.E. Campbell (Comptroller of Currency) and W.C. Clark (for Minister of Finance) — Check Letter K, serial number 652884.
Dated Ottawa, July 2nd, 1923, the obverse features the iconic standing Britannia vignette in an oval frame with bold red serial number and check letter, printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. The reverse displays the classic green 25-cent guilloché design. The 1923 issue represents the final chapter of Canada's shinplaster era.
