A pleasing circulated example of the 1923 Dominion of Canada One Dollar note with the desirable Red Seal variety, certified and graded Fine 18 by Banknote Certification Service (BCS) with the coveted BCS Guarantee. Catalogue reference DC-25g, bearing the signatures of S.P. McCavour (Comptroller of Currency) and T.C. Saunders (for Minister of Finance) — Red Seal, Group 2, Series X, Check Letter C, serial number X-426719. No comments noted by BCS.

Dated Ottawa, July 2nd, 1923, the obverse features a striking portrait of King George V in military uniform at centre, flanked by bold red serial numbers and the distinctive red Department of Finance seal — making this a more visually dramatic example than the common bronze seal issues. Printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. The reverse displays the Parliament Buildings (Centre Block) in green, one of the most beloved reverse designs in Canadian numismatics.
