A beautiful higher-grade example of the 1900 Dominion of Canada Twenty-Five Cent note, certified and graded Extra Fine 40 Original by Banknote Certification Service (BCS). Catalogue reference DC-15c, bearing the signature of T.C. Saunders as Deputy Minister of Finance — a scarcer signature variety than the Boville issue.
The obverse displays the classic seated Britannia vignette with crisp detail and pleasing original colour, printed by the American Bank Note Company, Ottawa. The reverse retains strong green tones with well-defined guilloché rosette patterning. Authorized under R.S.C. Cap. 31 and dated January 2nd, 1900.
Encapsulated in a BCS tamper-evident holder (cert FS369). An attractive circulated example of this beloved "shinplaster" issue — a key addition to any Canadian banknote collection.
