An extraordinary piece of one of America’s greatest unsolved mysteries—a certified fragment of the infamous D.B. Cooper ransom money. This authentic artifact is encapsulated and certified by PCGS Currency, identifying it as a fragment from the ransom money recovered by Brian Ingram on February 10, 1980 along the banks of the Columbia River.
On November 24, 1971, the man known as D.B. Cooper hijacked Northwest Orient Flight 305, collected a $200,000 ransom in $20 Federal Reserve Notes, and parachuted into the night over the Pacific Northwest, never to be found. Nearly a decade later, eight-year-old Brian Ingram discovered deteriorated bundles of the ransom money buried in the sand at Tena Bar, making it the only confirmed physical evidence ever recovered from the hijacking.
This certified fragment originates from one of those recovered notes and represents a genuine artifact from one of the most famous unsolved crimes in history.
