$1 Notes

For more than half a century, the Bank of Canada issued various series of Canadian banknotes, including the $1 bill, until it was phased out in 1987 in favor of the loonie coin. We are delighted to offer collectible $1 Canadian bills and take pride in educating individuals about their intriguing history.

The Bank of Canada was established in 1935, although its foundations were set in the mid-19th century. Before its creation, several banks were chartered by the British Crown to issue their own currency and provide additional financial services.
