Thomas P. Stafford, Commander
Eugene A. Cernan, Pilot
Launch June 3, 1966
Landing June 6, 1966

The original crew of Gemini-IX, Elliott M. See and Charles Bassett, were killed in an airplane crash on February 28, 1966 and the backup crew became the primary crew. During an EVA lasting 2hours and 7 minutes Cernan's visor became fogged and he was unable to test an Air Force maneuvering unit. The crew simulated a lunar module rendezvous.
